Labor Day Weekend Events in Minneapolis

Labor Day in Minneapolis is an excellent time of the year for people looking for parties and other kinds of fun celebrations around the city. One of the top events that our Minnesota movers go to is the Labor Day Bash with Necessary Diversion. This is a live jazz music event that is sponsored by the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board. Necessary Diversion is a band that performs covers of popular songs, which means that everyone that you attend the event with will know songs and have fun. Couple some great music with beautiful weather, and you have a recipe for a memorable afternoon at the park.

Minneapolis has plenty of space for activities for those that are more musically inclined. Along with the Necessary Diversion concert, a great event is the Fest du Nord Family Music Festival, being held at YMCA Camp du Nord in Ely. This event is located on Burntside Lake and is a family-friendly outdoor concert. There will be pizza, street tacos, and beer from local breweries. Pets, alcohol, tobacco, and glass bottles are forbidden.

Things to Do in Minnesota on Labor Day Weekend

If you wish to venture outside of Minneapolis during Labor Day Weekend, the North Star State has plenty of excellent outdoor areas for you to explore. The long weekend may entice someone and their family to check out some campgrounds like Crane Lake. Crane Lake is hosting the Last Hoorah of the Summer, and this includes many events for all members of the family. This includes a fish fry, live music, and even an annual marathon. For those that want to stay for the entire weekend, there are many cabins that offer different experiences, from deep immersion in the wilderness to houseboats.

One of the most popular events that our St. Paul movers like to visit is the St. Paul Regional Labor Federation Parade. This parade is organized by the St. Paul Regional Labor Federation and takes place at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul. This is also a great opportunity to see all that the fairgrounds have to offer.
