USA Family Moving Job Requirements

USA Family Moving is a drug-free workplace. All candidates must be drug-free and must submit to random drug and alcohol screening. Each of our applicants will undergo a criminal background check and motor vehicle checks. Your safety, the safety of our current employees, and the safety of our customers are our top priorities.

All applicants for moving and labor jobs must have at least two years of moving and packing experience. Candidates with commercial moving experience are preferred. All drivers are required to hold a valid DOT medical card and follow Georgia state law. A CDL is not required but is a plus for those candidates. All movers hired by USA Family Moving are required to undergo an extensive training program that runs through the basics to our top-quality packing, disassembly and reassembly, loading and unloading, lifting, safety, and more.

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required for employment. You also must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to be applicable for consideration. As a member of the USA Family Moving team, you are required to meet our customers’ relocation needs safely and efficiently while working together with our dispatcher and our movers, as well as our family. We expect you to come to work on time, in a professional manner and attire, ready to work. Our team members are required to have customer service skills, be presentable and friendly to our customers, pay attention to detail, and handle small items with care. If applying for moving jobs in Georgia, you must be able to lift a minimum weight of 25 pounds. As moving season is busiest in the summer, you should be willing to have a flexible schedule throughout the year to accommodate busy season jobs and off-season jobs appropriately. Most of all, we expect our movers to have a good work ethic and be dependable.
